WISHING WELL BIRD CAGE  |  HONEYMOON

WISHING WELL POEM #1

Soon you will hear our wedding bell,
As friends and family wish us well.
Our household thoughts are not brand new,
We have twice the things we need for two.
Since we have our share of dishes and bedding,
We’re having instead a wishing well wedding.
But more important we ask of you,
your prayers of love and blessings too!

WISHING WELL POEM #2

Many of our guests have inquired
For a gift idea to be inspired
Like many young couples today
We have most things anyway
If you would like to give, it is our request
For something for our treasure chest
A gift of money you can afford
Is just what we need you can be assured
Without the help of this little pun
Our honeymoon would not be much fun

WISHING WELL POEM #3

To save you looking, shopping or buying.
Here is an idea, we hope you like trying.
Come to our wedding, to wish us both well.
And bring this small sack, to throw in our wishing well.
Fill it with paper all colours will do,
gold is our favourite but silver will do.
Now that we have saved you, all of that fuss.
We hope you will come, and celebrate with us.

WISHING WELL POEM #4

We don’t want to offend but we have it all,
all household goods and so much more.
To save you shopping, sit back and rest,
a gift of currency is our request.
Don’t go overboard or rob any banks,
any little thing will make us smile with thanks.
We supply the wishing well,
no wrapping, an envelope and who can tell.
Now that we have saved you all the fuss,
it would be appreciated if you would come
and celebrate with us.

WISHING WELL POEM #5

More than just kisses so far we’ve shared
Our home has been made with love and care
Most things we need we’ve already got
Like a toaster and kettle, pans and pots
A wishing well we thought would be great(but only if you wish to participate)
A gift of money is placed in the well
Then make a wish … but do not tell
Once we’ve replaced the old with the new
We can look back and say it was thanks to you!
And in return for your kindness we’re sure
that one day soon you’ll get what you wished for!

WISHING WELL POEM #6

They have their dishes and towels for two
They have pots and pans and oven mitts too
So what do you get for the Bride & Groom
Whose house is set up in every room?
Their house needs repairs and some upgrades too
But you can not register for carpet and glue.
A well that holds wishes is the way to go
So lets make it easy for all that know.
An envelope will be provided for those who have room,
To give a monetary wish to the Bride and Groom
A wishing well will be on display at the reception hall
To attach your wishes, for the couple, with love from all.

WISHING WELL POEM #7

We’ve been together a few years now;
We have pots and pans and linen and towels;
We have glasses and toasters, really quite a few;
So instead of more gifts, we suggest this to you;
If it doesn’t offend and it won’t send you running;
What we would really appreciate is quite simply money;
We know choosing gifts can be such a pain;
and this way there is no chance of bringing the same.

WISHING WELL POEM #8

If you were thinking of giving a gift,
to help us on our way.
A gift of cash towards our house,
would really make our day.
However, if you prefer to purchase a gift,
feel free to surprise us in your own way.

WISHING WELL POEM #9

We’ve been together a few years now;
We have pots and pans and linen and towels;
We have glasses and toasters, really quite a few;
So instead of more gifts, we suggest this to you;
If it doesn’t offend and it won’t send you running;
What we would really appreciate is quite simply money;
We know choosing gifts can be such a pain;
and this way there is no chance of bringing the same.

WISHING WELL POEM #10

Our home is quite complete now,
we’ve been together long.
so please consider our request,
and do not take us wrong.
A delicate request it is,
we hope you understand.
please play along, as it will give
our married life a hand.
The tradition of the wishing well,
is one that’s known by all.
go to the well, toss in a coin
and as the coin does fall.
Make a wish upon that coin,
and careful as you do.
cause as the well’s tradition goes,
your wishes will come true.
So on this special day or ours,
the day that we’ll be wed.
don’t hunt for special gifts
but give money is it’s stead.
and as you drop the envelope,
with money great and small,
remember, make your wish
as you watch your money fall.

WISHING WELL POEM #11

::RULES AND REGULATIONS::

The first you must come
and if you’re to be our guest
You must eat and drink a lot,
or do your very best!
The second ones an order
so don’t bring two left feet
As when the evening comes around
you must dance to the beat!
The third rule can be broken
we really do not mind
But if you choose to follow it,
Thank you for being so kind
We’ve lived together for a while now,
and are set up well for life
We do love receiving presents
but can save some shopping strife;
The tradition of the wishing well
used on a wedding day,
will be available both for some money gifts,
and for what you would like to say.
But the choice is really up to you
and we would like to say
That we just hope you come and enjoy yourselves,
and share our special day!

WISHING WELL POEM #12

We made a commitment some time ago,
that together through life we were destined to go.
We purchased our furniture,  linen and bedding
in the wonderful years leading up to our wedding.
What else we may need  is not easy to tell,
so we have decided to have a wishing well.
A gift of money you can afford, will be very appreciated
you are assured.

BIRD CAGE POEM #1

Like birds who build their homes with care,
we have every little stick and chair.
Our nestled home of love is great,
but we do plan to have an update!
A birdcage will be at our reception for our guests
who would like to add funds to help our nest!
But most importantly we do request,
is that you join us as our wedding guest!

BIRD CAGE POEM #2

 What do you get for the new bride and groom
whose house is full in every room
Fly we will like 2 turtle doves,
on a honeymoon that will be filled with love
For those who wish to give a gift
a donation of currency would give us a lift
Look for the bird cage at our reception
and leave the lovebirds a token of your affection

BIRD CAGE POEM #23

We two love birds have it all…
Family, Friends and Love galore.
If a gift you intend to help our nest,
And need some help then may we suggest.
A contribution to our bird cage,
Will help us along to our next life stage!
Most important is your presence on our special day and night,
As our wedding without you just won’t be right.

HONEYMOON POEM #1

The date has been set and we’d love you to come,
To celebrate our wedding, a long way for some,
All you must do, is decide what to wear,
Then polish your jewellery and comb up your hair.

Don’t worry about gifts, don’t buy us a yacht,
The things that we need, we’ve already got.
Our home is quite compact, we may have to move
Then our storage and space will surely improve.

Don’t go out shopping or get yourself stressed,
Don’t alter your plans for a pre wedding rest.
If you want to be generous,
despite what we’ve said,
Then save all the hassle and do this instead….

Don’t know how to word this
but will give it our best shot…
Contributions are most welcome,
we’ll go somewhere hot!
A honeymoon would be marvelous,
to start off our life.
In our long winding journey,
as new husband and wife!

HONEYMOON POEM #2

As we are blessed with material things,
and all that living together brings.
What we would really like for our special day,
Is to top off our wedding with a holiday.
To go somewhere grand we couldn’t afford,
A place that’s lavish and full of reward.

A tradition as old as the wedding bell,
Is to make a wish into a well.
A box will be there on the day,
To offer a blessing and send us on our way.

Any donation would be great,
But only if you wish to participate.

HONEYMOON POEM #3

We haven’t got a traditional wedding list,
the reasons we’ll explain,
It’s to save you all the hassle
as shopping is a pain.

We thought we’d ask you all
for something else instead,
A small contribution
towards a holiday in the med.

We’ve been together for a few years now,
and have a lovely home.
There are not too many items that,
we don’t already own.

So please don’t be offended
and please don’t think we’re brash,
If you’re thoughts were on a present,
we‘d much prefer honeymoon cash.

The choice is really up to you
and we would like to say,
We hope you come and enjoy yourselves,
on this our special day.

HONEYMOON POEM #4

We know it’s not traditional,
It’s not the way it’s done,
But instead of a wedding list,
We’d like a bit of sun.

Please do not think of us as rude,
Please do not take offence,
We do not want to upset you,
That’s not the way it’s meant.

We’ve lived together quite a while,
And all the bills are paid,
We’ve got our plates, our pots and pans,
Our plans have all been made.

So if you’d like to give a gift,
To help us celebrate,
Some money for a honeymoon,
We would appreciate.

HONEYMOON POEM #5

We are sending out this invitation
In hope you will join a celebration,
But if a gift is your intention,
May we take this opportunity to mention.

We have already got a kettle and toaster,
crockery dinner mats and matching coasters.

So rather than something we’ve already got,
We would appreciate money for our honeymoon pot.
But more importantly to request
That you come to our wedding as our guest.

HONEYMOON POEM #6

We really hope that you can join us
On our special day,
You’ll make our memories complete
In every single way.

We do not have a gift list
And we know you’ll understand,
Our house and contents are complete
With pots and plates and pans.

But should you really want to give
And celebrate this way,
Then we’d love a contribution to our honeymoon
In a land quite far away.

But most importantly, we request,
You come to our wedding as our guest,
To share with us our special day
And have some fun along the way.
