ADULTS ONLY WORDING IDEAS

Deciding whether to invite children to your wedding can be a difficult decision!

Simple wording such as ‘Adults Only Reception’ is a great starting point and can be inserted at the bottom of the Invitation or RSVP Card. If you have room, adding more detail on your Information Card can be a nice touch and might help to put your guests’ minds at ease.

Here are some suggestions on ways to word  an adults only wedding. You are welcome to select from the below or email me with your own wording.

“Adults Only Reception”

“Please join us for an adult reception at six o’clock”

“Please note this will be an adults-only celebration”

“Adult (18 and older) reception to follow”

“Children over 16 years of age only”

“We respectfully request no children under 16 at the reception”

“Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only affair”

“Due to limited venue space, adults only please”

DETAILED IDEAS

“The bride and groom request that this be an adults-only reception”

“Please celebrate with us at an adults-only reception immediately following the ceremony”

“Due to budget/space limitations, we are unable to extend the invitation to children”

“Due to necessity rather than choice, it is children of immediate family only”

“Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers”
